Michael Kendall writes: I played rancocas today and was very dissapointed there was no grass in the fairway, every shot was off of dry pan, the tee boxes were a disgrace were no groomed and everyone of them were un-even the only thing that was discent was the greens, but what good is that if you cant get there in regulation due to the lies from the fairway if that is what you can call them and to charge $46 this was the most insultating, I play at least 30 times a year, and rancocas was the 1st time and last time, with exception the course is laid out nice but needs a lot of work

I Don't know what Michael is talking about. I played there yesterday (8-30-05) and compared to some of the other courses in the area Rancocas was in great shape. Despite the greens being airated, the ball rolled true and the only tee box that was in bad shape was #11, which was closed. Had to play from the front tee box. The fairways were green and the course was not crowded. I walked 18 in just over three hours. I'll be going back.

Justin writes: I can understand what Mike is saying about the fairways, but he played after all the bad weather we were having. I played Friday, Aug. 26th. He is right about the greens, I think as the summer went along they just got better. They were extremely fast in July, but the course was prestine while the weather was quite hot. If anyone judges this course after playing once, like Mike, they are sorely mistaken. It's a great, underrated course. They've done a great job the last few years improving it. The greens are great! The pin placements can be challenging at times, but who doesn't want to be challenged? Of course, I'm a repeat customer.
