There will be a Charity Golf Tournament Friday September 18, 2009 at the Minebrook Golf Club in Hackettstown, NJ. It is the first charity event sponsored by The Mark R. Painter Memorial Foundation.
- Net proceeds from this tournament will go directly to scholarships to high school students of Somerville High School and Hackettstown High School.
- The golf tournament will be held rain or shine at the Minebrook Golf Club, 500 Schooleys Mountain Road in Hackettstown.
- The tournament will feature a Four Player Scramble format and a Shotgun start at 1pm (registration at 11am). Lunch will be provided. Dinner with open bar will follow at 6pm. Register by September 7.
- There are awards for the first through third place teams and all players will receive replay tickets. Contests will include: Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, $ on the Green Putting Contest and a Hole-in-One wins a new car (Courtesy of Trend Motors, Rockaway NJ). It will be a fun day for all.

The Arc of Bergen and Passaic is holding its annual golf classic at Preakness Hills Country Club, 1050 Ratzer Road, Wayne on Monday, October 5th.
Join us for a day of golfing with registration and lunch at 11:00, shotgun start at 12:30, followed by cocktails at 5:30 and dinner at 6:30.
Tickets of $350 include a day of golfing with caddies and carts, greens fees, luncheon, cocktail reception, and dinner.
Proceeds from the event will benefit children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities such as autism, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.

The ARC Essex Foundation Golf Classic XXI will be held on Monday September 14 at the renowned Rock Spring Club in West Orange. The Golf Classic benefits programs for infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities in Essex County and surrounding areas.
The day will begin with registration at 10:45am, followed by a lavish lunch, golf, open bar, cocktail/ dinner buffet featuring the Rock Spring Club famous seafood bar. Festivities also include a fair share raffle and numerous raffle and auction prizes. “This is a great event raising money for a great cause,” said Rick Wright, Rock Spring Member, chair of the Golf Classic Committee and long-time supporter of The ARC of Essex County. The Rock Spring Club is the home of the 2009 New Jersey State Open. “We hope that people will come join us and play our course where the top New Jersey pro and amateur golfers competed in July”, said Rick. “It is a wonderful outing.”
The ARC of Essex County is a non-profit agency serving 1300 individuals with developmental disabilities in 47 distinct programs in and around Essex County.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available at various levels, as well as openings for golfers. You can register as an individual golfer or as a foursome. Passaic County Community College (PCCC) Foundation's 7th Annual Golf Outing will take place at Crystal Spring's Black Bear Golf Club in Franklin, New Jersey on Tuesday, September 22, 2009. All proceeds from this event go to student scholarship support at PCCC.

Charity event to assist individuals with brain injury
WHAT: On Monday, October 12, 2009, Opportunity Project & Ted Stampoulos, owner of the Martini Bistro and Bar in Millburn, will host a charity golf outing at the Maplewood Country Club in Maplewood, New Jersey. The Opportunity Project Golf Classic Fundraiser is designed to help raise awareness and support for adults with brain injury. The event includes an afternoon golf scramble, gift bag, tournament prizes, cocktails and dinner and a silent auction. Cost is $300 per person for golf and $100 for cocktails and dinner only.
Opportunity Project is a nonprofit organization located in Millburn, New Jersey and is a unique and innovative program developed by and for people with brain injury. Proceeds from the Golf Classic Fundraiser will help Opportunity Project provide services to people who may have no financial resources.

The Opportunity Project Clubhouse, located in Millburn, is a supportive network of adults with brain injuries who participate in vocational, educational and social activities, and supportive services. Opportunity Project provides resources and advocacy to assist persons with brain injuries in achieving their goals for community reintegration. It is open to anyone over 18 with a brain injury regardless of their ability to pay. Opportunity Project is an innovative nonprofit organization and is the only Clubhouse model program that exists in New Jersey, which addresses the unique needs of people with brain injuries.

CancerCare of New Jersey invites golfers to spend a day on the greens at one of the Garden State’s top golf courses for our 23rd Annual Golf Invitational.
The event will be held at Essex County Country Club (ECCC) on Monday, August 10, 2009, and will support CancerCare’s free programs and services for people affected by cancer.
Located in West Orange, ECCC is the oldest country club in New Jersey, rich in history and tradition. The private club is also known for its long and challenging course, rated one of the top three in the state by New Jersey Golfer Magazine. The Invitational will feature a day of networking and relaxation. Following the 18 holes of golf, participants will enjoy cocktails, dinner and a silent auction.
